Hazrat Amir al-Mu’minin (as possesses contradictory qualities and is a manifestation of nobility and moral virtues

On the occasion of the martyrdom of Hazrat Amir al-Mu'minin Ali (peace be upon him), a mourning assembly was held by the Akhtar Tabaan Foundation

In commemoration of the martyrdom of Amir al-Mu’minin, Mawla al-Muttaqin Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him), the Akhtar Tabaan Foundation organized a mourning assembly and iftar. The respected speaker, Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimeen Maulana Syed Zafar Abbas, addressed the assembly. During his speech, he presented several hadiths on the greatness and virtue of nobility, stating that Imam Ali (peace be upon him) said:
*(Among the best of religion is nobility, and there is no good in a religion that lacks nobility.)* (Mizan al-Hikmah, Volume 9, Page 117)

Nobility is among the best and most excellent aspects of religion, and there is no goodness in a religion that does not possess it.

While discussing the virtues of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), he referenced a hadith that states:
*(If all the trees were pens, and the seas were ink, and the jinn were accountants, and mankind were writers, they would not be able to enumerate the virtues of Amir al-Mu’minin Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him).)* (Kanz al-Fawaid, Vol. 1, Page 280)

In this assembly held at the Akhtar Tabaan office in Qom, the respected speaker further elaborated on various hadiths regarding nobility, chivalry, and forgiveness. He also presented multiple incidents and examples from the lives of the Ahlul Bayt (peace be upon them), particularly focusing on Imam Ali (peace be upon him), highlighting that these figures exhibited nobility toward both friends and foes. They never allowed any form of injustice toward their enemies and were always at the forefront to assist those in need, the poor, orphans, and those facing difficulties.

The esteemed preacher Maulana Zafar Abbas also mentioned the verses of Sufi al-Din Hilli, which refer to the contradictory qualities found in Imam Ali (peace be upon him). He noted that Imam Ali was both ascetic and a ruler, gentle yet courageous, himself in need but generous and charitable. Additionally, he feared no one but God; however, when he stood before the Divine Presence, he would weep profusely.

The assembly concluded with mourning for the martyrdom of Amir al-Mu’minin and recitations of lamentation. Finally, iftar and blessed food were distributed.
